BREAKING : ‘Chelsea hope to finalise’ two more major new deals at the club ‘this week’
The last week has been rather busy at Chelsea in terms of official new announcements and confirmations of new arrivals.
It all happened last week. First, we had the official announcement for Laurence Stewart joining Chelsea’s new recruitment department from Monaco, and then a day later came the official confirmation that Joe Shields is also joining from Southampton to become a part of the new department.
Sources: Chelsea expected to make a move to sign Brighton player in January!
Others are expected, and two more are even expected to be confirmed this week, according to insider Ben Jacobs.
He has written via his latest Twitter thread below, that Chelsea hope to finalise the appointments of Christopher Vivell and Paul Winstanley this week.
But there is no sporting director is imminent yet because Todd Boehly is very comfortable in his current role, Jacobs reports. He and Behdad Eghbali will remain ‘heavily involved’ in January.

As well as this, Chelsea are still looking for two more key recruitment hires before year is out.
Told #CFC are still looking for two more key recruitment hires before year is out. The recruitment hierarchy and workflow may take time to establish, especially with group-focused appointments before a model is fully functional. Senior management team very confident in the plan.
