Graham Potter decides Chelsea next Eden hazard will not be in his starting line-up against Zagreb tonight stating he has other huge plans for the youngster

It has seemingly been confirmed that one Chelsea youngster in particular will not feature for the Blues tonight in the Champions League against Dinamo Zagreb.

Lewis Hall, who has been impressing greatly for the youth side this season, is set to start for the Under-19 side this afternoon as they prepare for their final UYL group game this afternoon.

The news comes off the back of Graham Potter announcing that he will not be handing out appearances to youth players for the sake of things.

Hall has already appeared for the Chelsea first team in the past, impressing in an appearance at left wing-back against Chesterfield in the FA Cup.

The 18-year-old even supplied an assist to an out-of-favour Romelu Lukaku that evening, as he impressed then manager Thomas Tuchel.

His versatility has been on show in both the Youth League and the PL2 this season, featuring in a number of positions.

Hall not playing tonight
He has featured in midfield as well as wing-back, and this afternoon he is set to take up a striker position.

He has certainly impressed in front of goal this season, scoring five goals and assisting as many in all competitions.

However, he now joins a list of other youngsters who are set to be disappointed by a lack of an appearance in tonight’s dead rubber at Stamford Bridge.

Omari Hutchinson especially will be disappointed with his luck that he won’t be able to feature tonight.

After being named on the bench for the loss against Brighton at the weekend, this game seemed the perfect chance for him to show what he can do in front of the Chelsea fans.

However, UEFA rules state that he is not eligible for tonight’s fixture, with the same being the case for highly-rated new signing Zak Sturge.
