‘Work has already been done’ fans told to expect to welcome new stars to Chelsea in January

Joe Cole believes Chelsea will be ‘busy’ in the January transfer window and that much of the work has already been done

Graham Potter has seen his Chelsea side struggle over the past few weeks after an impressive start to life as boss of the Blues

That has led to many suggestions in the media that he will be handed some funds in the coming transfer window and try to bring some players in that will help him achieve his goals of getting into the Champions League by the end of the season

And Cole believes that the break for the World Cup will give CHELSEA FC the perfect chance to make signings, with the former Blues midfielder predicting a busy window.

‘I think the work would have been done,’ Cole told the Express.

‘There would have been processed but the clubs will go away for four weeks and they will be able to be meeting there’ll be talks of agents and if there is availability.

“We may see more business in this window because of that because it’s actually more time to actually think about them and put the deals in place.

‘Sometimes in January, things don’t happen because of just because simply because of time constraints.

‘We may actually see the club trying to get more business but it’s certainly something to watch for. It’s an unusual time.’
