BREAKING : Chelsea fc are willing to wait until after the World Cup to confirm the deal for super talented playmaker who has is highly rated as the most creative youngster in Europe

Journalist Dean Jones has claimed to GiveMeSport that Chelsea will not be able to sign Napoli’s Khvicha Kvaratskhelia in January.

The Blues are reportedly interested in signing the Georgian following a very impressive start to his first season in a top five league.

The youngster has six goals and five assists in 12 Serie A matches this season, as his Napoli side sit pretty at the top of the table going into the World Cup.

He has also shown what he can do in the Champions League.

 

Napoli also ended that group stage on top of their group, thanks to a resounding 4-0 win over Liverpool early in the competition.

Chelsea are one of a number of elite clubs who are reportedly keen on signing Kvaratskhelia, with Real Madrid, PSG, and Manchester City said to be interested.

His agent has already made it clear that the deal won’t be cheap, with him set to cost clubs around £86m.

However, Jones has ruled out the possibility of the Blues looking to jump the queue for his signature in January, despite him being an upgrade on the quality of player they already boast in that position.

 

He said: “I think he would be an upgrade on those players. I’m not convinced that they will get him. The player is going to have a huge fee put on his head.

“Certainly, I think he’ll be priced out of a move in January. I don’t think they want to sell him then. I can’t see it happening. That’s what I’ve been told.”

The Blues are reportedly already in the market for a number of attackers next year as they look to solve the problem with goals they were experiencing long before Graham Potter joined the club.

They are reportedly close to securing a deal for RB Leipzig’s Christopher Nkunku, with them also on the hunt to secure young star Endrick as a future asset in that role.
