Report: super sensational wounderkid wants to be paid more than Mason Mount if he is to sign for Chelsea in January

Chelsea target and Borussia Dortmund youngster Youssoufa Moukoko reportedly wants £6m-a-year for his new contract.

Moukoko, who’s just 18, is a highly-rated teenager that’s already part of Germany’s senior international squad.

The centre-forward has made a great impact in Dortmund’s first-team this season, scoring six goals and making six assists in 22 games so far.

According to Sport earlier this week, Chelsea are prepared to pay £8million this January to sign Moukoko even though his current deal at Dortmund expires at the end of the season,

According to The Times, Dortmund are still trying to convince Moukoko to stay with them.

is understood the Bundesliga German club failed when offering him a deal worth £4.4million-a-year, with the player’s representatives searching for closer to £6million-a-year. Dortmund may return with a fresh contract offer, though.

The report adds that the German striker is going to consider his options amid interest from Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United as well.

If Moukoko signs for Chelsea in January, a £6million-a-year deal works out to around £115,000-a-week.

It’s interesting to note the Dortmund rising star is asking for a bigger salary than Chelsea talisman Mason Mount, who currently earns £88,000-a-week (Spotrac). The Telegraph does say Mount’s next deal may need to be worth closer to £300,000-a-week to convince him to stay at Stamford Bridge.

Moukoko definitely looks like a star in the making when you see the kind of impact he’s already making on a big stage.

However, it’s worth noting that the Blues appear to have already made a move elsewhere to sign a young centre-forward.

Fabrizio Romano reported earlier today that Graham Potter’s side are now close to signing 19-year-old striker David Datro Fofana from Molde.
