Chelsea manager Graham Potter ‘really impressed’ with 19-year-old who is pushing for a start in the first team

Chelsea made some pretty big signings in the summer just past, but perhaps one of the most important signings they made was not a high profile one.

Midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka is highly rated in the world of football, especially those in England. Chelsea managed to snatch him from Aston Villa in the summer, concluding a deal out of nowhere and announcing him on their Twitter account.

Chelsea fans were really excited to see such a top talent arrive at the club, and the 19-year-old is so highly regarded that he has gone straight into Chelsea’s first team.

But he has yet to really get any chances to play, having only featured three times for the senior team so far. However, he has always remained largely in the match day squads, and he is now pushing hard for a start.

As reported by Bobby Vincent of Football London (seen below), Chukwuemeka has really been impressing Potter over the World Cup break.
