Reports : Chelsea FC in advanced talks to sign one of the most Talented centre back in Europe ahead of Real Madrid, Manchester city and Fc Barcelona

Chelsea have approached RB Leipzig regarding Josko Gvardiol. Croatia international was one of the standout players at the recently-concluded FIFA World Cup in Qatar. A solid presence at the back, Josko has the making of a world-class defender for years to come.

 

The London giants have been long linked with Gvardiol but have failed to make much progress in their pursuit so far. They do not appear to have thrown in the towel, with technical director Christopher Vivell making an overture to the Bundesliga giants.

 

Having worked at Leipzig before moving to Chelsea, Vivell certainly knows who to reach out to to get a deal over the line. While RB Leipzig continues to hold firm on keeping their star man, the London giants might have been handed a glimmer of hope.

 

Chelsea’s chances of signing the 21-year-old centre-back in winter appear to be non-existent. But a summer deal could still be possible. The Croatian centre-back has a mammoth €110m release clause to his name. And a lot could depend on whether Chelsea are ready to meet it.

 

Chelsea signed Badiashile in January, and the defender enjoyed a solid debut with Crystal Palace, helping Potter’s side to a clean sheet. Should Gvardiol arrive, he, alongside Badiashile and Fofana, could offer Potter and co the stability they crave at the heart of the defence. Josko is also attracting attention from other teams including Real Madrid and Liverpool.
